BMW M8 Competition leads an unusually varied MFC bank repo auction in Durban

 BMW M8 CA 2024 BMW M8 Competition Convertible is set to be one of the headline lots when Aucor brings its next MFC Bank Repo Truck & Vehicle Auction to Durban on Tuesday, 6 October.

But the M8 is only part of what is shaping up to be a particularly varied catalogue. At the premium end, buyers will also find a 2021 BMW 840d xDrive Gran Coupé M Sport, 2020 BMW X5 M50d, 2023 Range Rover Evoque HSE R-Dynamic and a 2023 Mercedes-Benz C200, alongside several other BMW and Mercedes-Benz models.

There is plenty for performance-car enthusiasts too. A Ford Fiesta ST200 and Volkswagen Polo GTI join the M8, while the broader vehicle line-up stretches into more familiar territory with Toyota Starlets, Hyundai Cretas, Renault Tribers, a Suzuki Swift, Kia Picanto and Nissan Almera among the lots currently listed.

Bakkie and SUV buyers have options of their own, including a 2023 Ford Ranger 2.0D 4x4 double cab, 2022 Toyota Fortuner 2.8 GD-6, Isuzu D-Max models and a Nissan NP300 Hardbody.

The sale also has a substantial commercial element. The catalogue currently opens with a 2019 Hyundai EX-8 tipper and five 2019 Mercedes-Benz Actros units, bringing heavy commercial buyers into what is otherwise an exceptionally broad vehicle sale.

There is also a separate non-runner section containing vehicles including a Jaguar XJ, BMW X3 M40i, BMW 320i M Sport, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Mitsubishi Triton. Aucor states that these vehicles are being sold as non-runners and that the extent of any damage is unknown, making the individual lot information particularly important for prospective buyers.

The auction will operate on a timed-then-live format, with bidding culminating on Tuesday, 6 October from 10:30. Buyers who want to inspect the assets beforehand can attend viewing on Monday, 5 October from 09:00 to 16:00 at The Workshop, 99 Samora Machel Street, Durban.

With the catalogue still taking shape, further lots and additional vehicle information may be added ahead of the sale.
