Aucor Auctioneers Bloemfontein is preparing a particularly varied bank vehicle auction for Thursday, 8 October, with Standard Bank and MFC stock ranging from everyday passenger cars and SUVs to late-model bakkies and heavy commercial vehicles.
The live on-site and webcast auction starts at 10:30, and a look through the catalogue shows why this is more than a conventional passenger vehicle sale.
Among the newer vehicles heading under the hammer is a 2025 Ford Ranger 2.0D XL automatic double cab, joined by a 2025 Volkswagen Polo 1.0 TSI and a 2024 Ford Puma 1.0T EcoBoost Titanium automatic.
The bakkie selection extends considerably further. Buyers will find a 2024 GWM P-Series 2.0TD Black Edition 4x4, a 2023 Mitsubishi Triton 2.4 Di-DC Xtreme automatic double cab, a 2022 Mahindra Pik Up S6 Karoo automatic and a 2023 Kia K2700 Workhorse, among others.
For buyers looking at SUVs and crossovers, the catalogue includes a 2023 BMW X3 xDrive20d M Sport, 2023 Haval H6 GT 2.0T Super Luxury 4x4, 2022 Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, Nissan X-Trail, Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta.
There are some interesting performance and premium vehicles in the mix too, including a 2022 Volkswagen Golf 8 GTI, 2020 Golf 7 GTI, Mercedes-Benz V250d Avantgarde and Audi A4. A separate non-runner section also contains vehicles ranging from an Audi S6 and A7 to a Jaguar XF and Mercedes-Benz ML350.
Importantly, buyers should pay attention to how the catalogue is structured. Aucor clearly separates the runners from the non-runners, so prospective bidders should check the individual lot information and inspect vehicles before bidding rather than assuming condition from the model or year alone.
The auction also moves beyond passenger vehicles. A dedicated commercial section includes Mercedes-Benz Actros double-axle horses, a Mercedes-Benz flat-deck truck and Mitsubishi Fuso commercial vehicle, giving businesses another reason to look through the catalogue.
Viewing takes place at 1 Kruger Avenue, Estoire, Bloemfontein on Tuesday, 6 October and Wednesday, 7 October from 08:00 to 17:00. Pre-bidding opens at 14:00 on Wednesday before the live auction and webcast begin at 10:30 on Thursday.
